New starts

This is the one I mixed up all that alizarin yuck for. Ok, so it’s not so new. It’s new to you! 🙂

All silver and gold spray paint here. The silver was supposed to dry with a hammered metal finish. Yeah, not so much. It’s still plenty shiny though!

Border and background both ready to go! Please, no one tell me it already looks finished. It’s really, really not… 🙂

So that’s some stuff I got laying around the “studio” (also known by the moniker “the basement”).

Happy Halloween!

  1. …ok, we’re all …eyes[!] waiting!
    🙂

  2. sweeeeeeeet sassy molassy, zorg-diggity!

    • The first one up there is what your Fruitcake inspired. It’s gotten very tedious though. I got too small with and too many blocks…

      • you know when i saw that first painting i recalled your interest in fruitcake and wondered if that was an influence. well, if the current direction dont feel right just scrap the bastard and start again.

        • I would but that’s where I’m torn. It’s looking good, but it’s also getting ridiculous… So I intend to finish it, but then paint on something else instead. 🙂

  3. when you finish going to be great!

  4. playing the waiting game was never a fave of mine…but muses can be fickle creatures so will await nicely…the yellow peeping out of the first one…great eye-catcher!

    • For me it’s also hard to find the time and the energy to paint, at the same time. Often inspiration has faded by the time I get back to something… Oh well, such is life. So I post it here in part to help me get interested in getting back to it. 🙂

That was the idea with the yellow — glad you liked it! 🙂

  5. Wonderful starts, Zorgor. These have tons of potential! The silver and gold one looks very vintage and classic. Can’t wait to see what happens with these. 🙂

I'd love to hear your thoughts and interpretations! Your comments and likes are what keep the paintings and posts coming. :)
